It all began years ago when I saw an ad in one of my Mom's genealogy magazines for "Heritage Teddy Bears" made from old fur coats.
I have been sewing since I was 12, and thought what a great idea. In August of 1999, I bought a full length Electric Seal Coat for $12.50. A few months later I designed my "Furbear" pattern and started sewing. After a couple of alterations to the pattern, I was off to the races.
Now, 14 years later, I have 5 styles of bears, beaver, bunnies, skunks, cats, dogs, raccoon, hats, mittens and much more. I also recycle old leather coats into mittens, moccasins, handbags, turtles, elephants and much much more.
My main objective is to turn your old fur coats into a family keepsake. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
